Freedom to Return to Your Work

Keep a useful return point without a duty to resume.

A useful return keeps the purpose of the work, its authorship, and the choices still open. Returning is possible, not compulsory.

Teaching example: leave a short note with a working title, the last useful version, and one unresolved question. A later return can begin there without an account of everything that happened while you were away.

Return must not automatically send an old draft or restore a permission that has changed. Agreements and necessary notices still need their own current scope.

Public readings can be revisited by their page address. Notes in this edition are temporary: use Download note and confirm the file to keep a copy. Automatic draft restoration and cross-device return are off. The principle is a design commitment, not a claim that unsaved work is preserved.
