Correct a record

Revise your note or prepare a correction to a public reading.

For your own temporary note, edit the words directly. Download a new copy if you want to keep the revision. A previous downloaded copy does not change when you edit the page.

For a public reading, keep its title, page address, and edition if shown. Note the specific sentence, the proposed correction, and any source that explains the difference. Avoid including unrelated private details.

There is no correction-submission service connected in this edition. A written correction kept on your device has not reached an editor. Help will state a receiving channel when one has been verified.

Where a record is disputed, keep the original, the correction, and the unresolved disagreement distinguishable. Correcting a public statement does not require making a private source public.
